MoneyMammals is a gamified experience for kids and teenagers that teaches them about money. This product is offered to Credit Unions for their users as an added benefit to their program.
MXMD was brought in to redesign the platform, as well as creating a better experience for all age groups, parents and teachers who want to access financially-savvy games, workshops and materials for the children in their lives.

Wireframes are the backbone of any visual design process. Especially since our client was new to the UX/UI design process, we wanted to make sure we took our time and laid the foundation correctly.
We looked at competitive gaming sites like Nick Jr., Disney Jr., and more to see how exactly the parent brands fed into the kid's gaming platform and how they navigated between all sides of the platform.
While the games were already designed, MXMD was able to take assets and build around the games to make a more integrated experience with illustrated backgrounds and sectioning and categorizing the games, activies, videos, and resources with better filtering. We also introduced interfaces that helped customize the gaming experience for each user and/or child along with a more seamless experience to switch user accounts.
The platform included financial materials for all age groups, with a focus on creating bite-sized financial advice for teens in a blog-like atmosphere.
